The Rio Terà drio la Chiesa, in Cannaregio, owes its telling name to its geography: here flowed the rio dei Do Ponti, also called rio del Cristo, which curved right ’drio’ — behind — the apse of San Marcuola, the church of Saints Hermagoras and Fortunatus.
