Campo San Marcuola is Cannaregio’s drawing room on the Grand Canal: this campo (Venetian square) runs right down to the water, with a handsome 1713 wellhead at its centre and a landing stage for vaporetti and gondolas. On one side stands the church, its façade unfinished.
