Updated on 24 October 2026. Written by the Calletta team, which is one of the apps compared.
How we made the comparison
We only used what the sellers state on their public pages (app stores and websites). When a figure isn’t there, we write “not stated”. We haven’t tested the other apps in the field. We know we are biased, so we cite the source of every row: if something has changed or is wrong, write to supporto@calletta.it and we will correct it.

What is the best audio guide for Venice?
It depends on what you are looking for. If what counts is how much is told, out loud, with a single payment and in more languages, today it is Calletta: 1,230 places and 745 hours of audio.
Why does Calletta tell so many places?
Because it starts from a complete historical guide, Lorenzetti’s, and from other historical books, not from a list of famous monuments. The sources.
