On the Grand Canal at San Moisè, almost opposite the Salute, Palazzo Manolesso-Ferro is the older half of the present-day Veneto Regional Council headquarters. Gianjacopo Fontana said it was built in 1379. The building came to the Manolesso family as a dowry.
