At the end of Campo Santa Maria del Giglio (a Venetian square), where the square opens onto the Grand Canal at the Campiello del Traghetto, stands a palazzo known by two names: Palazzo Venier, after the family who built it, and Palazzo Venier Contarini, also called Marin Contarini, after later owners.
