Just before the rio della Maddalena (a Venetian canal) flows into the Grand Canal, beside the Maddalena gondola ferry, this palazzo, dating from the second half of the 16th century, still wears its original appearance. It was formed by joining two neighbouring buildings, and its façade retains the frescoes painted by Camillo Ballini, an artist from Brescia who followed Palma il Giovane.
