This fondamenta runs along the rio dell’Angelo Raffaele — the Anzolo Rafael of the Venetians, the church that gives the water its name — in the quietest and once almost rural part of Dorsoduro, where the canal flows a little further on into the Giudecca; and it is not to be confused with the Fondamenta Duodo or Barbarigo at Santa Maria Zobenigo.
