It looks like an installation for tourists, and yet it is a real shop: this working boat from the lagoon, turned into a stall, is one of the last floating greengrocers left in Venice. Baskets of salad and courgettes, crates of tomatoes and watermelons displayed at water level, and the counter continuing on the fondamenta under the green awning. You buy from the bank, as from any ordinary shop — except that the shop floats.
