The street of shops par excellence: Venice has dozens of calli named after a trade — del Forner, del Tintor, dei Botteri — but ’de le Botteghe’ in the whole city there are only two — the other is at San Barnaba, in Dorsoduro — a sign that here the concentration of shops was special. The calle starts from the north corner of Campo Santo Stefano and points towards San Samuele.
