One of the most scenographic campi of Dorsoduro, on the route that descends from the Accademia Bridge towards Piazzale Roma: in front flows the rio with the fruit barge moored, behind towers one of the oldest bell towers in the city, and the whole southern side is occupied by the neoclassical façade of the church of San Barnaba, which legend has founded by the Adami family in 809, was destroyed by the great fire of 1105, reconsecrated in 1350 by two bishops together and remade in 1749 to a design by Lorenzo Boschetti.
