Stop in Campo Sant’Angelo, or Sant’Anzolo as the Venetians say. Today the space opens out among Gothic and 17th-century facades, two ancient wellheads and the little oratory on one side. But the name keeps something you can no longer see: here stood the church of San Michele Arcangelo, founded in 920 by the Morosini and Lupanizzi families - originally dedicated to San Mauro - closed in 1810 and demolished in 1837.
