A much-frequented calle of the sestiere of San Marco, in the parish of San Benedetto, linking campo Sant’Angelo to campo Manin — and its width, unusual for a Venetian alley, is recent: part of the street was considerably widened in the 19th century. Before being ’della Mandola’ the calle was ’del Pistor’, after the baker who had his shop there.
