A calle (a narrow Venetian street) in the sestiere (district) of San Polo, between the salizada di San Polo and the rio terà dei Nomboli (a filled-in canal), which together with the Calle Seconda dei Saoneri takes its name from the soap makers. The saoneri formed a guild in 1565 and gathered for their devotions in the church of the Servi, though without having an altar of their own there.
