A stone and brick bridge over the rio della Sensa (a Venetian canal), in the northernmost part of Cannaregio, on the water road leading towards Sant’Alvise: the iron bands rest on little columns of Istrian stone, and it connects the Fondamenta de la Sensa to the Calle de la Malvasia, in a corner where the city still looked out on the open lagoon: from here the rio continues under the Turlona bridge as far as the Sacca della Misericordia, the basin opening onto the northern lagoon.
