A calle (a narrow Venetian street) in the northernmost part of Cannaregio, between the Ponte di Sant’Alvise and the fondamenta degli Ormesini and della Malvasia (a fondamenta is a canalside quay), in an area that for centuries remained on the edge of the city, looking out over the open lagoon towards the mainland.
