Two canals away from St Mark’s, on the rio (a Venetian canal) de San Provolo — which Venetians call the rio de l’Osmarin — this little stone-and-brick bridge is a favourite stop for gondolas. From its crest, you can see one of the city’s finest late-Gothic homes, Palazzo Priuli, with a corner mullioned window that seems to defy gravity.
