One of the smallest bridges in Venice, over the rio di San Salvador, between the Scuola di San Teodoro and the old convent of the Canons: it is called ’del Lovo’ - which Venetians hear as ’del Lupo’ (of the wolf) - but the name comes from a citizen family which, alone among the exempted neighbours, had to build and maintain it. It is the smallest of the three stone bridges crossing this rio - the others are the Manin and the Balote - with a structure of brick and stone and meander-patterned iron balusters.
