From the Campiello della Chiesa di Santa Fosca, look across the rio to see the façade of Palazzo Vendramin: exposed brick and stone, in a Renaissance style spanning the 15th and 16th centuries, with a handsome central portal reflected in the water. Do not confuse it with the better-known Ca’ Vendramin Calergi on the Grand Canal, which acquired that surname only in the 18th century.
