On Fondamenta Priuli, at no. 1012 opposite Palazzo Bollani, this 17th-century palace has changed name with almost every owner: built in the 14th century for a branch of the Contarini, it was bought in 1626 by the Basadonna brothers, who entrusted its modernisation to Baldassare Longhena — the architect of the Salute — passed to the Priuli in 1758 and finally to the counts Giustinian Recanati.
