On the Riva di Biasio, in the stretch of Grand Canal in the Santa Croce district opposite Palazzo Flangini and the church of San Geremia, stretches the 17th-century façade of Palazzo Donà Balbi. The building was created in the 17th century by uniting three bodies of construction, the oldest of which dates to the mid-14th century: betrayed by the unusual rhythm of the windows, which thin out from the quadrifora to the single-light window.
