At the corner of the Grand Canal and the Rio di San Giovanni Crisostomo, a stone’s throw from Ca’ da Mosto and the Palazzetto Dolfin, this tall, narrow palazzo has had residents worthy of a chapter in literary history. In 1537, Pietro Aretino was the guest of Domenico Bollani here. Known as the ‘scourge of princes’, he wrote from these windows that he enjoyed ‘the most beautiful street and the most delightful view in the world’.
