In the silent Campo San Zan Degolà (a campo is a Venetian square), just behind the Fondaco dei Turchi, hides one of the oldest and most intact churches in Venice: San Giovanni Decollato — ’San Zuan di Golao’ in the old documents, later corrupted into ’San Zan Degolà’.
