On the last strip of Dorsoduro, close to Punta della Dogana, the San Gregorio complex is made of two halves: the Gothic brick church that gives onto the campo (a Venetian square) of the same name and, closer to the Grand Canal, what remains of the old Benedictine abbey, with its 14th-century portal and the little cloister of 1342.
