On the Grand Canal, between Casa Santomaso and Casa Salviati on the stretch of Dorsoduro facing the Salute, this palace carries three surnames — Orio, Semitecolo and Benzon — and three centuries stitched into a single façade. The Orio family built it in the 14th century; the fine Gothic window on the piano nobile dates from the 15th, while the top floor was added in the 19th century, when the palace was joined to neighbouring Palazzo Salviati.
