In Venice, campo means ‘square’, but here you can take the word literally: Campo Sant’Andrea really is a field, with grass and trees, tucked away just a short walk from the noise of Piazzale Roma. Beside the grass, the Gothic façade of the church of Sant’Andrea della Zirada closes off the campo. Yet this campo is full of stories.
