A campiello of the sestiere of Santa Croce overlooking the water, at the exact point where the Rio Marin — the canal dug by hand at the wish of a Marin Dandolo — ends its run and continues as the Rio de San Giacomo. The name comes from a tabernacle with a Christ on the cross that once stood here: in Venice images of the Crucifix have baptised quite a few calli and bridges.
