At the eastern end of the Zattere, where the long promenade along the Giudecca Canal approaches the Magazzini del Sale and Punta della Dogana, a small stone bridge over the rio de la Fornace preserves the name ’Saloni’ — old maps also called it the ponte de Cà Balà.
