Between Palazzo Corner Contarini dei Cavalli and Palazzo D’Anna, facing Palazzo Fortuny, the white facade of Palazzo Tron a San Beneto is one of the oldest palazzi on the Grand Canal: ground floor and first floor perhaps date to the 13th century, rebuilt in the 15th under doge Nicolo Tron and raised again in the 16th — a palazzo that grew floor by floor, where each level tells a different century.
