Between Palazzo Giustinian Businello and Palazzo Donà, opposite Palazzo Grimani, Palazzo Coccina Tiepolo Papadopoli has one of the Grand Canal’s most majestic and well-balanced façades. Giangiacomo dei Grigi, an architect from Bergamo, built it for the Coccina, wealthy newcomers to the Venetian patriciate, between 1560 and 1570. The Coccina were a branch of the Salvetti family from Bergamo.
