On the right bank of the Grand Canal, opposite Ca’ d’Oro and between the small Foroni and Iona palaces, Palazzo Morosini Brandolin is a jewel of Venetian flamboyant Gothic. The Morosini of San Cassiano, the branch of the family known as ’del Giardino’, founded it in 1450 and built it in the second half of the 15th century, taking Ca’ Foscari as their model. It originally had four storeys.
