On Campo San Maurizio, in one of the airiest campi of San Marco, Palazzo Molin is in fact a pair of almost twin 15th-century buildings, each with its ogival four-light window on the piano nobile. They were erected in 1468 by the brothers Marco and Girolamo Molin, of a house present in Venice since before 887 and armed with a speaking emblem: the mill wheel, which the learned counted repeated several times on the facade.
