At the mouth of the rio (a small canal) of San Zan Degolà, facing the garden corner where the Bembo house once stood, a Gothic palazzo of the mid-15th century is mirrored in the Grand Canal: Palazzo Giovanelli. The pinkish façade is built around two superimposed four-light windows at the centre — the one on the first piano nobile with a long balcony — flanked by ogival single windows; on the water opens a great pointed-arch portal.
