From the Grand Canal, at the mouth of the rio (a Venetian canal) di San Zan Degolà, you can see a corner of garden and a modern building. This is where the sumptuous house of the Bembo once stood. The family gave the Republic Doge Giovanni and literature Cardinal Pietro, and owned around ten residences in the city.
