On the left bank of the Grand Canal, between the Campiello del Remer (small square) and Palazzo Perducci and just before the Fontego dei Tedeschi, this classical-looking palace hides a much older core. The Civran owned it as early as the 14th century, and the present façade — attributed to Giorgio Massari around 1700 — may stand on the site of an even older building, perhaps Byzantine.
