A stone’s throw from Ca’ Rezzonico, opposite Palazzo Grassi and between it and Palazzo degli Ambasciatori, this Neo-Gothic façade plays tricks with its age. It looks like an early 20th-century whim — and it is: built between 1910 and 1912 on the ruins of the Malpaga palace, destroyed by fire. Yet the façade is set with ancient marble, columns and reliefs salvaged during demolition.
