On the corner of the Grand Canal and the rio Malpaga, squeezed between Palazzo Loredan dell’Ambasciatore and Palazzetto Stern, this palace has almost the opposite effect from its neighbours: a pale, restrained façade, almost minimalist for its time, with no decorative flourish. It is an example of Lombardesque architecture from the early 1500s, built over an older Gothic structure and altered several times. Today it houses public offices.
