A few steps of water and stone, but a name with weight: this fondamenta (canalside walkway) on the rio del Grimani (a small canal), between Ponte Diedo and Ponte Moro, is the only place-name memory of a palazzo that no longer exists — the house of the Grimani dai Servi, with the façade painted by Giorgione, destroyed in the 19th century.
