On the campo (a Venetian square) that bears its name, this great Baroque façade facing the rio (a Venetian canal) is the shell of one of Venice’s oldest churches. It does not face the square because the church had to be oriented east. Legend says it was founded by St Magno of Oderzo in the 7th century, after the Paduan martyr Giustina appeared to him in a dream.
