Campo Sant’Agostin is a campo without a church: the one that gave it its name — one of the oldest in Venice — was pulled down in 1873 and in its place today there are council flats. And the water has gone too: the campo sat in the middle of a network of rii, the rio di Sant’Agostin in front of the campiello and, a little further on, the canals now covered by the Rio Terà della Parucheta and del Calice.
