A corner square between Piazzale Roma and the sestiere (district) of Santa Croce, where working Venice meets the Venice that arrives. The name comes from the bridge that closes it: three arches springing from a single central pier spanning three different rii (small canals) — a crossing over water documented since Jacopo de’ Barbari’s view of 1500.
