Calle Zon (a calle is a Venetian street), behind Campo Santa Giustina (a square), bears the name of the family that still owns the buildings here today: the Zon, who came to Venice from Perugia where they were called Boncambi — the new surname derived from an ancestor named Uguccione, corrupted into Cion and then Zon. The Santa Giustina properties date back to 1400, when Michiele Zon married Lucrezia Dandolo.
