Few streets in the world have so explicit a name: Calle della Morte. The street of death, written in black on white on a plaque. It opens at the south-western corner of Campo Bandiera e Moro, in the heart of Castello, and in a few steps slips beneath the houses, becoming a narrow covered passage, dark even in midsummer.
