This little calle in the Cannaregio district leads to the campiello (small square) of San Canciano, now named after Bruno Crovato, and to the church of the same name. Its name comes from the campaniel, the church’s small bell tower that overlooks the street. In Venice, calli that run beneath a bell tower are often called this, and the city has several «calli del Campaniel».
