Campo San Giacomo dall’Orio is one of the greenest and most lived-in campi (a campo is a Venetian square) in Venice: trees, a wellhead, children playing among the tables of the bacari (the city’s wine bars). But it is worth raising your eyes to the pale facade of the palace that closes the campo towards the sotoportego Zambelli (a covered passage beneath the houses).
