A stone bridge with iron bands, supported by little columns of Istrian stone, spans the short rio (a Venetian canal) Brazzo, linking the Fondamenta (canalside walkways) dei Mori and della Sensa, in the quiet heart of Cannaregio. The bridge takes its name from the Brazzo family, an old family of Venetian citizens who, according to Ziliolo, came from Tuscany.
