Small and asymmetric, Palazzo Foscari del Prà overlooks the Grand Canal in Cannaregio, near the church of Santa Sofia and next to Palazzo Morosini Sagredo. Built in the 14th century and remodelled in the 15th, it was bought by the Foscari in 1488 and in 1520 housed the Mantuan ambassador and, for a time, Federico Gonzaga on a diplomatic mission.
