Between the Fontego del Megio and Ca’ Tron, just downstream of San Stae, the Grand Canal opens onto one of the richest and most celebrated façades of Venetian Baroque: Palazzo Belloni Battagia, which arose around the middle of the 17th century on the structures of a pre-existing Gothic house.
