Walk along the narrow Calle de la Pietà, behind the church, and you find yourself facing a wall that speaks — and does not forgive. A long inscription in capital letters begins like this: FULMINA IL SIGNOR IDDIO MALEDITIONI, E SCOMVNICHE. The Lord God strikes with curses and excommunications.
