One of San Polo’s quietest stretches of waterfront: the Fondamenta del Forner, a canalside walkway, runs along the rio (a Venetian canal) della Frescada, halfway between Campo dei Frari, a Venetian square, and the San Tomà basin. From its bank, it offers one of the district’s least-visited viewpoints. Across the water stands Palazzo Corner della Frescada, with its mid-15th-century pointed-arch façade.
