The calle (street) runs alongside a very old parish church. The Giordani family rebuilt it in 1009, during the dogeship of Ottone Orseolo. In 1251, the parish priest Angelo Semitecolo had it renovated at his own expense under a charter; the Bishop of Castello consecrated it in 1305, with two archbishops and three other bishops in attendance.
